Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic (RAW Construction is under new ownership.)

R.A.W. Construction is a utility construction service company headquartered in Tallahassee, FL. Current construction services focus primarily on the underground installation of natural gas distribution piping along with power and telecom infrastructure. We currently have a full-time opening for a Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic in Midway, FL.
Job Duties:
Perform annual DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
Troubleshoot problems, discussing with equipment manager options for making economical and durable repairs.
Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and equipment on a company wide basis.
Services vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains
Order parts and supplies
Adjust functional parts of devices, control instruments and all types of equipment
Repair or replace defective parts
Test equipment performance before and after repairs
Operate and maintain field service truck
Job Requirements:
CDL is a plus but not needed
Valid Driver License
Fed Med Card
Must be able to pass a drug test and physical
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.,
Regular periods of reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, pulling, pushing and standing will be required
Must be flexible in working hours, committed to working overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
Ability to work well with others
2-5 years of experience
Candidate must have their own basic tools and all other tools will be supplied

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
